Project Highlights
This bridge is part of the strategic expressway connecting Metropolitan Beirut to the Hazmieh suburb and onwards to the pan-Arab Damascus highway. It provides two levels of fully equipped parking under its roadway.
Total concrete poured was 25,000 m3. Project particularity was the nature of soil, silty saturated sand, which required the use of cast in-situ piles under foundations. Various connection belts and underpasses guide traffic to different circulation axis.
This project spearheaded the reconstruction of the road infrastructure in Lebanon after the end of the civil war. It was constructed in 12 months in order to abide by the strict planning schedule imposed by the employer.
